Kuwait’s interior ministry declared late Thursday that its security forces had successfully stopped a terrorist plot that was aimed at Shiite holy sites. A terrorist cell’s plot to attack and murder Shiite worship sites was thwarted by security personnel. Three Arabs connected to a terrorist group were taken into custody as a result of security personnel keeping a close eye on the cell’s operations. To pursue legal action against them, the public prosecution has been tasked with handling all suspects.
