Kuwaiti and Gulf Nationals Exonerated of Prostitution Charges

According to Al-Seyassah daily, the Criminal Court cleared a citizen and a female Gulf national of running a prostitute ring in Bar Rahiya. According to case papers, the two opened a camp site in Bar Rahiya where young women in their twenties are tricked into becoming prostitutes under the pretense of hosting “weekend parties.” Attorney Abdul Mohsen Al-Qattan, representing the accused, noted in court that the owner’s comments were the main focus of the investigations. He emphasized that unless the judge verifies the statements by examining the facts and arguments put forth by both parties, the owner’s statements might be nothing more than falsehoods. Because there was no evidence of guilt, he pleaded with the court to clear his clients.
