Police Arrest Peddlers, Seize Drug Pills and Crystal Meth

Jahra security officers recently conducted a 24-hour operation across residential and commercial areas, as well as major roads within the Jahra Governorate. This initiative aimed to capture wanted individuals, enforce residency and work laws, and curb drug-related crimes. The security campaign, carried out under the directives of Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs, Major General Hamad Al-Munaifi, and Brigadier General Dr. Hamad Al-Tawala, led to the arrest of five individuals in possession of illegal drugs and related paraphernalia, as reported by Al-Anba daily. During the operation, police stopped a Japanese-made car driven by one individual with another as a passenger. A search of the vehicle revealed approximately 400 narcotic pills and two bags of Shabu, along with drug-dealing equipment. The suspects admitted during initial questioning that they were engaged in the sale of these narcotic substances to drug users, confirming that the seized items were intended for distribution to their customers. This successful operation demonstrates the ongoing efforts of Jahra’s security forces to combat drug-related crimes and maintain safety in the region. The authorities continue to prioritize public safety by cracking down on drug trafficking and ensuring compliance with residency and work laws.
