Residency Status Corrections Now Offered During Evenings

The Ministry of Interior has introduced evening working hours during Ramadan, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, for expatriates seeking to correct their residency status. Residents can visit residency affairs departments across various governorates during these hours. According to a security source, these departments are making it easier for violators to rectify their status by paying fines and addressing administrative or judicial hurdles related to residency laws.

This initiative aims to facilitate access for a greater number of individuals seeking amnesty for residency violations. It allows them to amend their status or leave the country by June 17, 2024, if they are unable to comply with fines or other requirements.
