Triple Attendance Causes Malls and Restaurants in Kuwait to Be Empty

Following the implementation of the third fingerprint attendance system for government employees, shopping malls have seen a noticeable change in morning foot traffic. Some malls experienced a decrease in shoppers, with others appearing nearly empty as employees are now required to be at their workplaces on time. During a recent visit to several malls, it was evident that the once-busy shopping areas now saw a significant drop in morning visitors due to employees adhering to their new schedules.

Most shops and cafés were unusually vacant, with only a few elderly patrons present. The lively atmosphere and buzz of conversation that once characterized these places had significantly diminished, leaving some malls unusually quiet. This morning’s tranquility in the malls reflects a significant shift in daily routines, as employees are now expected to be at their offices from early in the day.

Wide aisles that were previously bustling with visitors now seemed almost deserted. Shops with their doors open had only a handful of customers, and many vendors were left waiting for patrons. This shift underscores the impact of the fingerprint attendance system on daily life, with mornings now more focused on work and commercial activity expected to pick up after office hours.
