Protecting families from separation, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef has authorized a new decision allowing holders of the “Dependent” visa (Article 22) who missed the prior deadline to legalize their residency status.
A reliable source indicated that the Residency and Nationality Affairs Sector carefully reviewed the situation. Under the supervision of Director General Brigadier General Mazid Al-Mutairi and with Brigadier General Fawaz Al-Roumi, the sector worked with the Ministry’s legal team. The decision was ultimately driven by a humanitarian perspective, acknowledging the difficult circumstances of families and children who were at risk of losing their legal standing in Kuwait.
