68 Visa Violators Arrested in Kuwait

Foreign nationals who have broken residency laws are being urged by the Ministry of Interior to take advantage of the grace period to correct their status within the allotted time frame.

Residency and Work Law violations have resulted in the arrest of 68 foreign nationals in a number of locations, including Farwaniya, Al-Ahmadi, Mubarak Al-Kabeer, and the Shuwaikh Industrial Area. Individuals in these areas who disregarded the rectification deadlines faced legal repercussions.

The enforcement of labor and residency laws has been stepped up, and continuous inspection campaigns have resulted in the arrest of forty-three people in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area and the Farwaniya Governorate for breaking the law. Furthermore, 25 violators in the governorates of Al-Ahmadi and Mubarak Al-Kabeer were apprehended as a consequence of a coordinated campaign carried out by the tripartite committee and the Ministry of Commerce, which specifically targeted women’s salons.

The Ministry of Interior highlights that in order to avoid legal consequences, violators must take advantage of the opportunity to either correct their status or leave the country before the deadline, which expires on June 17, 2024.
