A KD2,000 fine was imposed for insulting a doctor

The Misdemeanor Court has fined a Kuwaiti citizen KD2,000 for insulting a doctor at Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital. The citizen was charged by the Public Prosecution for grabbing the doctor’s stethoscope and verbally assaulting her during an examination. The doctor reassured him about his condition after he disclosed taking crystal meth, but he responded angrily and physically assaulted her. Attorney Elaf Al-Saleh, representing Kuwait Medical Society, provided surveillance footage and witness statements. Al-Saleh highlighted the increasing trend of assaults on doctors and pledged to continue pursuing such cases and seeking compensation for damages.
