Citizens of Kuwait and the GCC Are Allowed to Visit Kurdistan Without a Visa

The Kurdistan regional government declared that entry into the Kurdistan region of Iraq will no longer require a visa in advance for nationals of 53 countries, including Kuwait. The Kurdistan Ministry of Interior has released an official statement stating that nationals of these nations can use their passports to obtain an electronic visa at the border for admission. Kuwait and the GCC countries are included in the list. Before entering Kurdistan, visitors must make sure their passports are valid for a minimum of six months. Kurdistan was visited by almost seven million tourists in 2023, according to the regional tourism bureau, thanks to the region’s year-round good weather. (KUNA)
