Six Days Off in Honor of Eid Al-Fitr

If the holy month of Ramadan lasts the full 30 days, this year’s Eid Al-Fitr holiday will last for six days. According to sources, since April 9 is the last day of Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr will take place across three days on April 10–12 (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday), plus Sunday, April 14, which will be designated as a rest day in place of Friday, April 12. Approval from the Cabinet is required for this. The six-day Eid holiday will be implemented if granted. The sources further stated that the Eid vacation will only last three days, from Tuesday through Thursday, April 9–11, if the holy month does not last the full thirty days.
