Don’t Delay: 3-Month Limit for Biometrics in Kuwait

The deadline for biometric fingerprinting of all Kuwaitis and foreign nationals is set for three months, beginning in March, according to the Ministry of Interior. All transactions within the nation will be suspended if compliance is not met.

The Ministry of Interior is actively undertaking biometric fingerprinting for citizens, GCC citizens, and foreign nationals at various border crossings, Kuwait International Airport, and authorized centers, according to the General Administration of Security Relations and Media.

At certain facilities and business complexes, such as the Hawalli Security Directorate, Farwaniya Security Directorate, Al-Ahmadi Security Directorate, Mubarak Al-Kabeer Security Directorate, and Al-Jahra Security Directorate (for citizens and GCC citizens), people can be subjected to biometric fingerprinting upon arrival. Furthermore, fingerprinting services are offered by the Ministries Complex, a number of malls, and the Personal Identification Department in the Ali Sabah Al-Salem and Jahra neighborhoods (for foreigners).

It is not necessary for visitors departing Kuwait to have their fingerprints taken; that will happen when they go back.
