The Court of Cassation has upheld the decision of a lower court, sentencing an Egyptian Quranic therapist to five years in prison and deportation. This comes after he assaulted three underage Egyptian girls in his Mahboula apartment. The therapist deceived the girls into thinking they needed ‘ruqyah’ treatment for their injuries. Their father, seeking treatment for them, was shocked when his daughters revealed they were harassed and assaulted during the sessions.
