Four individuals sentenced to five years in jail and fined for selling Kuwaiti visas

The Criminal Court sentenced an inspector, a citizen, a delegate, and a mediator to five years in prison and fined them KD 4,000 for accepting a bribe of KD 2,000 to approve 10 residency permits at KD 500 each. Three expatriates accused of purchasing residency permits were acquitted. Detectives arrested the accused using entrapment, recording the bribery on audio and video. They agreed with one worker to establish a company owned by the citizen. The Public Prosecution charged a public sector employee with accepting a bribe, while the other defendants negotiated for 10 residency permits illegally.
