Kuwait Allows All Nationalities to Apply for Family Visas

The Ministry of Interior has started the procedure wherein foreign nationals living abroad can apply for family visas. But before filing their applications, some nationalities need to have prior clearance and consent from the ministry.

Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, the acting minister of interior and deputy prime minister, issued the directives this morning. They are primarily directed against the following seven nationalities: Syrian, Yemeni, Pakistani, Afghan, Iraqi, Iranian, and Sudanese. The residential address shown on the applicant’s civil identification is where their applications must be manually submitted. The application method is the same for all nationalities, and before a visa is issued, normal security clearance must be obtained.
