Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, emphasized the need for swift implementation of bilateral agreements with Kuwait during a meeting with the Ambassador of Kuwait to Pakistan, Nassar Abdulrahman J. Almutairi. PM Sharif highlighted seven agreements worth USD 10 billion signed between the two countries last November, covering areas such as food security, water supply, hydropower, mangrove rehabilitation, technology, and mining sectors.

He underscored the role of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) in attracting foreign investment into Pakistan. The newly elected Prime Minister, who took office this month, expressed Pakistan’s keenness to strengthen historic ties with Kuwait, particularly in trade and investment.

PM Sharif also extended an invitation to His Highness the Amir of Kuwait, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, to visit Pakistan, thanking Kuwait for its support during challenging times. The Kuwaiti Ambassador, in turn, appreciated Pakistan’s support and reiterated Kuwait’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations.

During the meeting, PM Sharif commended the ambassador for his efforts in enhancing ties between the two countries.
