Peshawar Won a Close Game against Multan by 4 Runs in the PSL

In a cricket match in Pakistan, Peshawar Zalmi won against Multan Sultans by four runs. Even though Iftikhar Ahmed played really well and scored 60 runs in just 27 balls for Multan, they still lost.

This season, Peshawar Zalmi is the only team that has beaten Multan Sultans twice. Multan Sultans have already qualified for the playoffs with six wins from eight games, while Peshawar Zalmi is closer to reaching the final four with nine points and two games left to play.

At one point in the game, Peshawar Zalmi needed 58 runs from the last three overs. But despite a strong effort from Ahmed and Chris Jordan, they couldn’t reach the target and ended up with 200-5.

Before that, Peshawar Zalmi’s captain, Babar Azam, won the toss and scored 64 runs off 40 balls. Another player, Saim Ayub, scored 46 runs off 22 balls, helping Peshawar Zalmi set a strong total of 204-5. Babar and Ayub had a partnership of 84 runs, which was the highest in this season’s power play.

Multan Sultans’ bowlers struggled against Babar and Ayub’s aggressive batting. Ayub hit five sixes and three fours before being dismissed by Usama Mir, who is the top wicket-taker in the tournament, getting three wickets for 32 runs.
