Teachers Could use the Grace Period to Complete Biometrics

Educational sources claim that the Ministry of Education is looking into the prospect of giving teachers and other employees who operate in rural places an extra grace period to apply for the biometrics process through flexible working hours. They disclosed that several educators filed requests for transfers from schools located in rural regions subsequent to the implementation of the biometric system. According to the sources, the ministry is thinking of giving the leadership permission to use the biometrics on them whenever they choose.

Within this same framework, yesterday morning, representatives from the Capital, Hawally, and Ahmadi educational zones convened in the meeting room of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education’s office to discuss the matter. Also present were the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education, Hessa Al-Mutawa, Matrouk Al-Mutairi, and the Acting Director of the Coordination Department, Miteb Al-Otaibi. During the conference, a number of topics were covered, the most significant of which was the mechanism for flexible working hours for school administrators and teachers.
