Targeting food trucks, mobile grocery stores, and street sellers, the Jahra Governorate Security Directorate, operating under the Public Security Sector, carried out a security inspection operation in the Kabd region. Due to their joint efforts with the Kuwait Municipality, two people involved in the unauthorized selling of fireworks were apprehended.

Inspectors from the Kuwait Municipality also removed and enforced many mobile grocery businesses that were deemed to be in violation of the law. These measures, which are a part of larger security strategies timed to coincide with Liberation Day and the National holiday, are meant to implement new regulations that the Ministries of Trade and Interior have released that forbid the sale of water balloons and water guns.
