Biometric deadline extended for foreigners and Kuwaitis

According to Al-Seyassah daily, Sheikh Fahad Yousuf Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Interior, recently issued a directive to extend the deadline for collecting biometric fingerprints: September 30, 2024 for citizens, and December 30, 2024 for expatriates.

The minister made this choice to expedite and simplify the biometric fingerprint procedure for foreign nationals and residents alike. The Criminal Evidence General Department at the Interior Ministry has designated locations and working hours at the personal identification sections in order to streamline the process. The directive made it clear that walk-ins will not be accepted and insisted that appointments be made via the “Meta” platform via the “Sahel” application. All those in question were urged by the ministry to schedule an appointment prior to visiting the designated centers.
