The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has taken action against 8 butcher shops located in the Shuwaikh Industrial Area. The Ministry clarified that the impromptu inspections targeted several meat shops to assess their adherence to regulatory standards set by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

This initiative highlights the Ministry’s commitment to monitoring market activities, especially during periods of high demand like the upcoming holy month of Ramadan, to protect consumer rights and ensure the availability of goods. As a result of the inspection campaign, 8 violations were identified, including instances of commercial fraud related to the country of origin, reports of artificially inflated prices, and non-cooperation with Ministry inspectors by certain commercial establishments. The Ministry of Interior was notified of these violations, stressing the seriousness of obstructing regulatory efforts.
