The Food and Nutrition General Authority launches a new initiative called ‘Your Hand is in Our Hand,’ introducing traffic light labels on packaged foods. This system, aligned with Kuwait Vision 2035 and WHO recommendations, aims to promote healthier eating habits, combat obesity, and prevent nutrition-related diseases. The initiative invites national food companies to participate and aims to engage food manufacturers, producers, and importers in sustainable development efforts. The traffic light labels indicate energy, fats, saturated fats, sugars, and salt levels as percentages, empowering consumers to make informed dietary choices and manage their intake effectively.
